As soon as i got home i opened my browser and i checked to see if the new bytejacker episode was up, and it was. The great thing is that my voice mail got aired on the show.

Well i tried doing a small webcast on my idea of a good game. Didn’t turn out like i hoped it will, i was a little nervous, forgot what i wanted to say, but i hope that my message was easy to understand. Well i said before i will release WME this Christmas but to be honest i didn’t quite yet finished fixing some bugs that were left because i was busy working on a “Design Script” for a game that suddenly popped into my head while i was teaching my 5 year old cousin how to model some household objects in Milkshape 3D. So she tried to model a puppy.. What she got was something that looked like a Blob and a Donut. Later that night i had to put her to sleep and she wanted me to tell her a story. I tried telling her about Snow White and the Dwarfs but she knew it. Tried Cinderella but it was the same so, i quickly made up a funny little story about the blob she draw and that donut. After she started dreaming i started writing down that story. What i came up with after that was a small Game Design Script for a game i should start working on. I will try to finish WME soon and then i will start working on the new engine.

I spent a few hours working on a good meteor sprite for WME and i got tired of having to load and change the animation settings in-game, so i made a small app, which i called VSA(View Sprite Animation). The user must specify the path to the image(.jpg, .bmp, .PNG), total number of frames width and frames height. Simple and yet useful, at least for me.
And here is the Read Me file, because i know 80% of you won’t even think of taking 40 seconds to take a look at it.

The first day of developing Waste my Earth has almost ended and i tought of making a small clip in order to show my progress. Right now i have finished doing most of the important things like moving, shooting, time system. I still have to create a “laser” effect that could be heard while shooting, and do a small, and yet nice, hud. Also today i downloaded, for the first time, FMOD and to be honest i am quite sure i will keep on using it. Thats all for today, Good Night.
Hy there, my name is Bacioiu Ciprian, a 17-year old Romanian Student, and this is my new blog made specially for games or game-related projects i am doing. I decided to start this new blog at the same time i started my verry first game that will, hopefully, be completed. I had other attempts at game developing, attempts which failed do to the lack of experience(started a MMO Game Engine a few months ago, but stoped the project soon enough because it was extremly complex and i just couldn’t continue working on it, and another game called Millennium Pong wich also got canceled after my HDD broke, and i couldn’t recover the source code).
Now about this new game… It is called Waste My Earth and it will be similar to the well-know Asteroids game but instead of driving a spaceship, you must protect your home planet(Earth) using a space tower you created in the far depths of space. Got the project off the ground and brought it into a “play-able” state. Since i want this to be my first completed project i won’t make it to complex because i really want to finish it. So it will only feature one level, and the goal would be to survive as much as you can. Not to much but hey, we all have to start somewhere.
